Mario Circuit 1 is the first course of the Mushroom Cup in Super Mario Kart. The only hazard in this level are the pipes that appear near the 2nd turn of the course. After the player passes the pipes, he finds the only set of items in the course. There's also a major shortcut a racer can take by going through the dirt right after he passes the item set. The player will need either a Mushroom or a Star to go on the shortcut without slowing down.
Mario Circuit one also appeared in Mario Kart Super Circuit and Mario Kart DS. In Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Circuit 1 uses the background from Peach Circuit. The pipe hazard were removed from that track but later reappeared in DS version. An item box can be found in the shortcut of the Super Circuit version. In Mario Kart DS, this level is pretty short due to having only 3 laps instead of 5 and it usually takes the average player to finish the track about a minute.
