Bear is, obviously, a friendly bear from the Game Boy game Donkey Kong Land III. He is the only member of the Brothers Bear to appear in this game, as none of his siblings from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble returned in that sequel. Bear wears a sleeveless, white T-shirt, just like his brother Bazaar; since they are very similar, Bear and Bazaar may actually be twins.

Bear owns and runs the Sheepy Shops, that can be found in each area of the game, including the Lost World. When Dixie and Kiddy Kong enter his store, Bear will offer them to play a memory game, the goal of which is to match 10 pairs of cards (somewhat like Forget Me Not in Super Paper Mario). However, the Kongs have a limited number of attempts to match all the cards. Depending on how fast they complete the challenge, Bear will reward them various items such as Banana Bunches, Extra Life Balloons, DK Coins and Bonus Coins.

For two coins, Bear can also teleport the Kongs from one world to another. He replaces Funky Kong, who does not appear in Donkey Kong Land III.
