Dry Bomber: Difference between revisions
(Added info regarding the design. I included this info in the first paragraph instead of the trivia section to stay consistent with other kart pages. Similar info was once added to this page by another user, but was removed for awkward wording/speculation - a link to the Wikipedia article should suffice. I also replaced references to "turret" with "casemate", as the gun is stationary (that little stand in the front) and cannot be adjusted.) |

The Dry Bomber is Dry Bones' unlockable signature kart in Mario Kart DS. It is a beige-colored kart resembling a miniature self-propelled artillery with the driver sitting where the hatch would be. It is based off of the German Elefant tank destroyer, most apparent in the design of the stationary gun, muzzle brake, gun mantlet, and the trapezoidal casemate where the driver sits. The emblem is located on both sides of the casemate. It has low speed and items, as well as average weight and below-average drift (tied with the Brute). Conversely, the Dry Bomber has the highest acceleration and handling among all the karts in the game. The Dry Bomber (with a lightweight character driving) has the best off-road of any vehicle, and is notable for its incredibly powerful Mini-Turbo boost, somewhat comparable to Super Mini-Turbo of later games as well as a Mushroom. The powerful boosts are widely utilized for the infamous "Snaking" technique, and with the right timing, can be used to dodge a Spiny Shell in certain courses.
The kart is unlocked for Peach and Toad as well when the player gets gold trophies in all Nitro or Retro Courses in 150cc, and becomes available for everyone else when gold trophies are obtained in every cup in 150cc Mirror Mode.
