:As the resident ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' series nerd, I've made a [https://mariowiki.com/index.php?title=User:ThePowerPlayer/Sandbox&oldid=4063929 table] with the point values of regular and large coins across the series. Throughout the series, large coins are typically worth 10 times as many points as regular coins, but in ''Mini-Land Mayhem!'' specifically, they are indeed worth 5 times as many points. Also, if one looks very closely, there ''might'' be a 5 embossed onto the coin itself, but I can't tell for sure. The original ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' doesn't have coins at all, and ''Minis on the Move'' features only regular coins, not large coins; even the minigame [[Elevation Station]] features Star Coins in place of large coins, for whatever reason. Therefore, the ''Mini-Land Mayhem!'' coverage should be moved to the [[Five Coin]] article, but the rest of the section should remain how it currently is. {{User:ThePowerPlayer/sig}} 16:01, November 25, 2023 (EST)

It is in Wario Land. Even though the game isn't mentioned in the article... BLOC PARTIER. 11:42, 16 October 2009 (EDT)
In Wario Land 2, there are also coins that are worth two regular ones. Could this somehow be mentioned in the article? Or should they be merged? - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 13:03, 16 October 2009 (EDT)
I think a merge would be best. We'd have to specifically call them Wario Coins in their relation to WLII, of course. BLOC PARTIER. 13:06, 16 October 2009 (EDT)
I would volunteer for expanding the article and merging the WL and WL2 info into it, but someone else would have to do the PiT part. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 13:12, 16 October 2009 (EDT)
I have verified the merge with the info on Wario Land, Wario Land 2, and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Discussion closed. --RAP.pngRAP... 04:35, 16 February 2013 (EST)

Mario vs. Donkey Kong series?[edit]

According to the Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! instruction booklet, page 18, large coins are worth 5 coins in that game. The article, however, doesn't mention how many coins they are worth, but only their point value, which apparently changes throughout the series. Can we check if large coins are always worth 5 coins? This may be tricky to reorganize because the Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars article states that they are worth 10 coins, and it seems like they're not always worth a certain amount of coins in other games. In other words, if I'm understanding our info right, they're worth 500 points only in March of the Minis, worth 1000 points in all later games including Mini Mario & Friends, worth 5 coins in Mini-Land Mayhem!, and supposedly worth 10 coins in Tipping Stars. As the resident Mario vs. Donkey Kong series nerd, I've made a table with the point values of regular and large coins across the series. Throughout the series, large coins are typically worth 10 times as many points as regular coins, but in Mini-Land Mayhem! specifically, they are indeed worth 5 times as many points. Also, if one looks very closely, there might be a 5 embossed onto the coin itself, but I can't tell for sure. The original Mario vs. Donkey Kong doesn't have coins at all, and Minis on the Move features only regular coins, not large coins; even the minigame Elevation Station features Star Coins in place of large coins, for whatever reason. Therefore, the Mini-Land Mayhem! coverage should be moved to the Five Coin article, but the rest of the section should remain how it currently is.
