A Hungry Luma.

Hungry Lumas are a kind of pink Luma, that are slightly fatter than a normal one and have visible mouths. Hungry Lumas carry two sticks around, which both have two Star Bits on the top. They appear in Super Mario Galaxy where Mario must feed them a certain number Star Bits. When fed enough Star Bits, the Hungry Luma will transform into a new planet, leaving a Launch Star behind, which helps Mario reach the new planet. Hungry Lumas found in individual galaxies, need up to 100 Star Bits, while Comet Observatory Hungry Lumas need from 400 to 1600 Star Bits, as the Lumas in the Comet Observatory can create an entire galaxy. There is another kind of Hungry Luma, known as Lumalee. Lumalees are blue and have their own shop.
