I noticed you made the template for the Super Strikes. Can you teach me how to do that? Because I want to make one for the Special Shots in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. Red Links

Don't remove red links, okay?HK

Red links signify a need to create an article about the subject, putting it on the most wanted page. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 17:26, 6 August 2006 (EDT)
If a red link page (in this case, Elite & Dark Wizzerd) is included in another page, in this case Wizzerd, instead of removing the red links (again), you could have done two things:
 1. Use (Elite/Dark) Wizzerd
 2. Create those two pages as a redirect page: #REDIRECT Wizzerd.
Red links actually contribute to the Super Mario Wiki, even if they look ugly. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 19:58, 6 August 2006 (EDT)
Okay. I've been a member at Wikipedia for some time now, and everyone there was frantic over removing red links. Thanks for correcting me. I enjoy it, really.

Race Courses

Please see PipeProject:Mario Kart#Structure for proper ways to end a race or battle course article. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 19:38, 29 August 2006 (EDT)

Okay. Thank you!

Use of "You"

Thank you for your recent articles. However, I must point out that the use of the word "you" is frowned upon in Mario Wiki articles. If you can, could you please change "you" to either a character's name, or "player" if it refers specifically to an action that needs to be performed by a gamer. Also, you can use the words "driver" or "racer" when writing race course articles. Thanks again. -- Son of Suns

Thank you.Waluigi Freak 99 17:56, 9 September 2006 (EDT)

Chubby

Please check the Chubby and Talk: Chubby pages and give me your input. -- Son of Suns

Reply: Redirects

Paper Jorge is right, WF99, yet PJ, you can't expect WF99 to search here for the answer. ;) The first section, Red Links, an old comment about the Wizzerd articles, shows the code.

#REDIRECT article

When you preview it, it will look like

 1. REDIRECT article

but the code will kick in when the page is created. In addition, the redirect code must be the only wiki code on the whole page. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 22:32, 10 September 2006 (EDT)

Oh, okay. I tried just typing in #REDIRECT [article], but it didn't seem to do anything. The preview looked like you said it would. Now I know it's supposed to do that.

Did you use double brackets? Or is the problem already solved? -- Son of Suns
Oh. Yes, I used double brackets. I just didn't type in double brackets here because I didn't want the word "ARTICLE" to appear on the most wanted pages. ;) It's taken care of, though. Thanks.

Mini-games

Maybe you should explain the controls as well as the object of the minigame. Just a thought. Monty Mole 17:28, 11 September 2006 (EDT)

That'd be a help. Thanks for the tip.Waluigi Freak 99 17:29, 11 September 2006 (EDT)
Be sure to say "the player" instead of "you" or the SMWikify PipeProject will be breathing down your neck. ;) Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 17:41, 11 September 2006 (EDT)
By the way, the category is now at Category: Mini-games (with the hyphen), not Minigames. Monty Mole 21:05, 11 September 2006 (EDT)
Thanks for the work, MM. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 21:17, 11 September 2006 (EDT)

Category Links

Hey, WF99, a FYI on an advanced editing technique:

I noticed you removed the category links on this page. Actually, by adding a : in the link, it directly links to the category page, not adding this page to the category itself: :Category: Items produces Category: Items, and there is no category box at the end of the page. Same goes to internally link images: :Image:Yoshimariocap.jpg produces Image:Yoshimariocap.jpg, without adding the image. You can even pipe the link: Enemies Category, Luigi Image. Keep up the good work on mini-games. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 17:40, 12 September 2006 (EDT)

Template

I noticed you made the template for the Super Strikes. Can you teach me how to do that? Because I want to make one for the Special Shots in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 17:48, 24 September 2006 (EDT)
