"Map 3 World"[1] is a theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario Bros. 3 that, as the name implies, can be heard on the overworld map of Water Land, the third world of the game. The theme has also gone on to become a recurring theme in The Legend of Zelda franchise as the "Fairy Fountain" theme.
Arrangements
The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3
An arrangement of "Map 3 World" is heard in the The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episodes Reign Storm and 7 Continents for 7 Koopas. Additionally, a slower arrangement is heard in The Beauty of Kootie.
Super Mario series
Super Mario All-Stars
The Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 3 uses a 16-bit arrangement of "Map 3 World" that, like in the original, can be heard on the Sea Side world map. This arrangement is also used in Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
In Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, an arrangement of "Map 3 World" is included in the background of the Mario Zone theme and the theme heard on stage 3 of the Tree Zone.
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
An arrangement of "Map 3 World" similar to one heard in Super Mario All-Stars can be heard in Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. This version is more compressed than the Super Mario All-Stars version and uses different, lower-quality synthetic instruments.
Donkey Konga
In Donkey Konga, an arrangement of "Fairy Fountain" from The Legend of Zelda franchise is included in the background of the playable song "The Legend of Zelda Theme".
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U includes an arrangement of "Fairy Fountain" from the Zelda franchise in the medley track "The Great Sea / Menu Select" by Tetsuya Shibata. It can be played on the Skyloft and Pirate Ship stages.
The arrangement returns as a playable track in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it can be played on any Super Smash Bros.- and The Legend of Zelda-series stage.
Other arrangements
The Legend of Zelda series
Since its original appearance in Super Mario Bros. 3, "Map 3 World" has gone on to become a recurring theme in The Legend of Zelda franchise as the "Fairy Fountain" theme. Following the theme's inclusion in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, "Fairy Fountain" has been featured in almost every mainline The Legend of Zelda game. It is usually used on file selection screens, and in Fairy Fountains and Great Fairy Fountains.
