A group of Fly Guys.

The first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and have been a hit ever since. In the game they carried Items like Red Coins, 1-ups, or even bombs. In some levels one of them would swoop down carrying a ? cloud full of stars, and if Yoshi didn't get them in time the Fly Guy would float back up and laugh mockingly.

In Super Mario 64, Fly Guys appear in Shifting Sand Land. They fly around the course, spitting fireballs at Mario, trying to force the plumber into the lethal quicksand. They also appear in Tiny-Huge Island. This time, the Fly Guys spit fire at Mario near ledges, trying to kick him off the ledge.

Not to be confused with Flying Shy Guys, Shy Guys with helicopter complexes on their backs, or the Sky Guy and Medi Guy. Mechanical Fly Guys have wind-up keys in the back. They are known as Mecha Fly Guys, and appear in the Mario Party series.

In the Mario sports series Fly Guy first appeared in Mario Power Tennis, as a secret character known for his technique. He reappeared in Mario sports titles in Mario Hoops 3-on-3 along other Mario characters (such as Bowser and Dixie Kong) and for the first time ever, Final Fantasy characters.
