Hippopo

Hippopos are enemies in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars that look like a big blue hippopotamus with large elephant ears and a small blue warrior mounted on them. Mario meets these creatures on his venture in Smithy's Factory. Hippopos are usually accompanied in battle by Boos or Ninjas. They can also fly, making them masters of aerial attacks. Hippopos are also good at using various magic attacks, such as Drain Beam, Solidify or Sand Storm.

Trivia

• Among the unused sprites of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, there is an enemy named Crippo, which is a Hippopo lookalike. The only noticeable difference is Crippo's brown and green color and the move Thronet which could attack himself.
