I'm really iffy on calling the crystals in this cave ice just because NP says they are. They're not slippery, indicating that they're not ice, and most of the cave is just gray rock. The guide writer(s) probably just assumed it was ice because it's light blue and there are ice structures found in the cave that serve as sub-area.
