King Toadstool, the Mushroom King, is the king of the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach's father. He appeared in the Mario comics, but was mentioned in the Super Mario Bros. instruction manual. In the comics, he is a scatter-brained numbskull. King Toadstool most likely ruled the Mushroom Kingdom while Peach was a baby. However, it seems that the Princess herself became leader of the kingdom after she grew up.
King Toadstool made an appearance in the Mario Movie however as Princess Daisy's dad, and turned into a giant Mushroom monster that is all over the Mushroom Kingdom, by King Koopa. After the plumbers defeat King Koopa, the spell breaks and King Toadstool reverts to his normal state.
Other Appearances
There is a TV series called The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3(a reference to the game of the same title). In the episode Up Up and a koopa, King Toadstool makes an appearance(cameo or character). This is the only Super Mario TV show where King Toadstool Appeared.
