Shadow Mario Checks In is the seventh episode of Sirena Beach in Super Mario Sunshine. The episode's objective is to chase and defeat Shadow Mario and is the fifth of seven episodes that involve doing so.
Layout
As soon as the player enters Hotel Delfino, Shadow Mario runs off. Shadow Mario moves between floors as Mario chases him down, sometimes going into open rooms, but never enters the attic. Placed throughout the hotel are Boos disguised as Shadow Mario; they are slightly lighter than the real Shadow Mario and do not carry a Magic Paintbrush. When Mario gets near one, the Boo breaks out of its disguise and attempts to attack. After Shadow Mario has been sprayed enough times, he is defeated and drop the Shine Sprite.
