Toy Time Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. It is a location filled with toys that are made out of rainbow building blocks, usually acting as platforms. Colorful trains appear as a short transportation. The Spring Mushroom is found here. Mecha-Koopas also appears here. This Galaxy is located in the Engine Room Dome. This Galaxy is inhabited by Gearmos (like the one in the Battlerock Galaxy). The galaxy has a planet that is an homage to Mario and Luigi (Mario on one side and Luigi on the reverse side.) Also the theme music sounds like the one on the First level of Super Mario Bros. Also, the Toy Time Galaxy includes a kitchen-themed area.
Missions
Heavy-Metal Mecha Bowser
Mario must traverse the galaxy until he gets to a giant toy Bowser robot, where Mario must destroy it completely to rescue the 4 Gearmos that were captured and forced to make it run. They will reward him with a Power Star.
Mario Meets Mario
Mario needs to go to the 8-bit Mario planet to collect five Silver Power Stars. The pixels on the planet are replaced by lava, shrinking, and turning squares. The player must carefully and quickly make their way around the planet to collect the five silver stars and then make it back to the beginning to collect the power star.
Bouncing Down Cake Lake
In this mission, Mario will travel around an area of the Galaxy made out of giant desserts. At the end, he will encounter a slightly powered up Undergrunt Gunner, who he must defeat for a Power Star.
Luigi's Purple Coins
This is a very difficult level in which the player must collect 100 of the 150 Purple Coins on reverse side of the 8-bit Mario planet, which looks like 8-bit Luigi, within a time limit. The lava is replaced with Dark Matter, turning squares, and shrinking squares. If the player collects 100 purple coins, they must make it back to the start to collect the Power Star.
The Flipswitch Chain
The Secret Star of the Toy Time Galaxy. The planet containing the Flipswitches is accessed by feeding the Hungry Luma in Mario Meets Mario on the fan-type planet. In this Star, the Player will go to an area resmbeling Cyclone Stone, from the Beach Bowl Galaxy. Except, instead of simply needing to reach the end of the level, the Player needs to hit several Flipswitches covering the entire area. The main Planet the star takes place on, is two different pathways that seem to be strung around each other. After hitting all the Flipswitches, the Player will be able to get the Star.
Fast Foes of Toy Time
A star taking place with with a Fast Foe Comet in orbit. You MUST complete The Flipswitch Chain to be able to play this mission. The star is almost exactly the same as The Flipswitch Chain, but, because of the Fast Foe comet, all of the enemies and traps there are faster. The fact that the Fast Foe comet takes place here makes it more similar to the Cyclone Stone area of Beach Bowl, since the Fast Foe Comet star was there on Cyclone Stone.
