- “So..what scary game... should we play?”
- —Spirit of Fright, Yoshi Topsy-Turvy
The Spirit of Fright is one of the Yoshi Island Spirits that appears in Yoshi Topsy-Turvy. He likes to scare, but has a kind demeanor. He sets up a giant rolling spindle with spikes that plow after Yoshi as he runs along, eating up the paper and pages of the Forbidden Pop-Up Book. Yoshi must reach the end of the level without being sucked into the rolling spikes or dying from touching them too much. Unlike the other spirits, the Spirit of Fright never appears alone in levels, always being doubled up with another.
Appearance
This Spirit resembles a mummy and has burial bandages wrapped from his head down to over his wispy tail. He moans and groans like a ghost.
