He appeared in the Mario comics, but was mentioned in the ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' instruction manual. In the comics, he is a scatter-brained numbskull. King Toadstool most likely ruled the Mushroom Kingdom while Peach was a baby. However, it seems that the Princess herself became leader of the kingdom after she grew up. | |

| King Toadstool made an appearance in the ''[[Super Mario Bros. (movie)|Mario Movie]]'' however as [[Princess Daisy]]'s dad, and turned into a giant [[Mushroom]] monster that is all over the Mushroom Kingdom, by [[King Koopa]]. After the plumbers defeat King Koopa, the spell breaks and King Toadstool reverts to his normal state.
