Astro goombas (also known as Robot Goombas) are Goombas in a suit of protective metal in Super Mario Galaxy. Jumping on them has no effect as it does with most any other Goomba variation; the spin attack is the only means by which they can be defeated. This flips them over, after which jumping on them will defeat them.
