In their classic appearance, they were literally and physically princesses as you can tell from the dresses. In they modern-day appearance, the dress that they wear kind of makes them look more like queens than princesses, because of waist cloths; which a lot of queens wear waist cloths on their dresses. Peach's classic dress design would have to mean that she is single, and her modern one means that she has been married; which in ''Super Mario Sunshine'', she and Mario have happened to have been married.
I would say that their classic appearance where they have on a dress with a sash on it, would mean that they're maidens, and their modern day appearance where they have on a dress with two pieces of cloth means that they're brides.

Dislikes: Controversial wording in games, copyright violations, chatting online, short-shorts.

To tell which is a man, woman, boy, or girl:

  • Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi are men,
  • Princess Peach and Princess Daisy are women,
  • Toad is a boy,
  • Toadette is a girl.
  • The reason is: by gender and age.
