Mario's Power Gauge is a gauge that appears in the Mario 3D series of games. When Mario touches an enemy or hazard, his gauge will drop. Depending on the hazard, a different number of points will be taken away. It has 8 points in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, but in Super Mario Galaxy it has 3.

In Super Mario Sunshine it is called the Shine Meter.
