Template:Minigame-infobox Cut from the Team is a luck-based Battle minigame in Mario Party 8. The name is an expression used when someone is removed from a team, e.g., in sports.
Introduction
The four players are shown on a mountain with a small stand and ten wires connected to it.
Gameplay
Players take turns walking onto the stand and cutting one of the ten wires, three of which are "live." A player who cuts a dead wire is safe and moves to the back of the line. A player who cuts a "live" wire triggers a spring that launches them off the platform, eliminating them. The minigame continues until one player remains, and that player wins.
