Template:Minigame-infobox Gusty Blizzard is a 1-vs-3 minigame that is found during the events of the Nintendo DS game Mario Party DS. The minigame uses the Microphone for the solo player and the Stylus for the three players.

Introduction

The minigame takes place on a hat of a Mr. Blizzard, providing the minuscule participants a view of their surroundings: a fence, a large wooden sled, and mountains underneath an expanse of blue sky. The camera approaches three stationary Mr. Blizzards and remains facing them. A short moment later, the three Mr. Blizzards are revealed to be the three players, apparently frozen from the strong winter wind. They free themselves, and the minigame begins.

Gameplay

The solo player's objective is to use the Microphone to freeze the team of three completely within the time limit of ten seconds. This action produces a violent blizzard. The solo player's chances of winning are completely dependent upon the strength of the blizzard, which is in turn dependent upon how hard they blow.

The team of three's objective is to survive the freezing blizzard produced by the solo player. Players must rub their respective characters with the Stylus in order to warm them. There is a thermometer next to each player, indicating his or her body temperature. If one of the players is completely frozen, the character cannot be warmed anymore, and they freeze in to a Mr. Blizzard. The team of three's chances of winning are dependent upon their characters' body temperature, which in turn is dependent on how quickly the stylus is rubbed against them. If the solo player successfully freezes the three players, they win. If one or more of the team of three survive(s) the blizzard, the team wins.
