Template:Minigame-infobox Ion the Prize is a Duel minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name comes from the phrase "eyes on the prize", which means staying focused on the positive outcome or goal.
Introduction
The two players will be in some sort of space lab and encased in capsules. A yellow see-saw-like object appears above them. The game then begins.
Gameplay
The objective is to sort as many green and pink balls into their proper containers as possible by tilting the yellow plate using the Wii Remote. The balls fall down at a steady rate, and the colors have no pattern. During the last five seconds, the speed of the balls increases substantially. The player that sorts the most balls correctly within the time limit wins, and if both players sorted the same number of balls correctly, the game ends in a tie.
Ending
The pink and green containers retract into the alcoves on either side of the player, the metallic doors close, and the nozzle on the ceiling retracts, replaced by a hologram of a swirling fireball. If no one sorts any balls or if both players had the same amount of the balls sorted, nothing else will happen as "Tie" appears on the screen.
Test for the Best
This minigame appears in Test for the Best. The player plays alone in this minigame and his or her objective is to sort as many balls to the right color as possible within 30 seconds.
The scores required to earn a certain point total are as follows:

Note that it is possible to get a score of 59 to 61 (America / Japan)/51 to 53 (Europe / Australia) balls; if this is achieved, the player only receives 1,000 points, no more than that.
