In an order from left to right where the first player is randomly set, players take turns petting a sleeping Wiggler. Each player is given five seconds per turn, during which they can pet the Wiggler several times for [[point]]s. For each player, the timer does not start until they pet the Wiggler at least once. The Wiggler can be agitated in two ways: when it opens one eye, and when it jerks and has a pulsing nerve (the player character also sighs in relief). The more agitated it is, the more likely it will wake up. Eventually, the Wiggler will abruptly wake up in anger; the player who wakes the Wiggler has their score reset to 0, and the game ends. It takes at least 25 points for the Wiggler to wake up.

Template:Minigame-infobox Don't Wake Wiggler! is a Free-for-All minigame appearing in Super Mario Party. The name and gameplay are a reference to the children's board game Don't Wake Daddy.

Introduction

All four characters slowly approach the sleeping Wiggler. They turn to face the screen, as a floating arrow randomly selects one character to go first.

Gameplay

In an order from left to right where the first player is randomly set, players take turns petting a sleeping Wiggler. Each player is given five seconds per turn, during which they can pet the Wiggler several times for points. It takes at least 30 points for the Wiggler to wake up.

Ending

It has been requested that this article be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: add information on the ending animation after waking up the Wiggler by doing nothing while everyone has 0 points

The player with the most points performs their winning animation, while the Wiggler angrily chases the other players in the background.

Controls

  • Wave joy-con – Pet

In-game description

"Pet Wiggler without waking it!"
"Petting Wiggler earns you points but you'll lose it all if you wake it up!"
Tip: "Whoever wakes Wiggler gets 0 points."
