Template:Minigame-infobox Hot Rope Jump is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party and Mario Party 2.
Introduction
In Mario Party, Podoboos start to appear one by one until the two large ones appear at the sides, causing all the smaller Podoboos to jump into their rope formation.
In Mario Party 2, the small Podoboos circle around another small one until the two larger ones appear, to which the smaller Podoboos jump into their rope formation. In this game, the Podoboos start off blue before turning orange after the first before turning orange after five jumps.
Gameplay
Characters jump over a jump rope made of flaming hot Podoboos. The height of the jump depends on how long the player holds down . The Podoboos move faster and faster as the minigame goes by, and to win in the Mario Party 2 version, the player must simply survive until no other player remains. In the Mario Party version, the game will end in a "Miss!" if even one player touches the Podoboo rope, and said player(s) will lose Coins. However, if the four players reach 20 jumps, they all win the game.
In the Mini-Game Island mode in Mario Party, the player must jump over the rope 40 times to clear the game, which is not normally used in other modes.
In Mario Party 2, while playing the Mini-Game Coaster game mode, the player has to jump a total of 50 times to pass the minigame, a rule that is not normally implemented.

Trivia
- In Mario Party, because the "Full of Danger" music is used in the Mini-Game Island version of this minigame instead of the usual "Let's Limbo," this is one of only two minigames in the Mario Party franchise to have a version that has a different music track in the same game, the other one being What Goes Up... in Mario Party 6, where the music track depends on the time of day.
