Mario and Luigi's moustaches are meant to give them a Italian look, while Wario and Waluigi's are just a parody of Mario and Luigi's moustaches and thus are angular and unrealistic moustaches. Many other characters also have moustaches, like the Millennium Star, the Eldstar and Toadsworth.
