Cat Shine Shards are collectibles found exclusively in the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They are scattered throughout the many islands of Lake Lapcat, sometimes out in the open, or hidden away. Collecting all five of them within an area is required to make a Cat Shine appear. In this way, they are similar to Moon Shards from Super Mario Odyssey, or Silver Stars from the Super Mario Galaxy games.
