Template:Minigame-infobox Maths of Glory is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Super Mario Party. Its name is a reference to the 1957 American film, Paths of Glory. This minigame is similar to “Mathletes”

Gameplay

The minigame takes place near a river and place consisting solely of jigsaw pieces. Using multiplication, the two teams must combine their numbers to destroy the opposing castle within 5 rounds. Both castles have 50 jigsaw pieces each.

To destroy the castles, players hit slots with numbers ranging from 1 to 6, with 36 being the highest amount a team can get. The numbers on the slots are then multiplied for the cannons to fire the specified number of cannonballs at the castle. For human players the number they hit will always match with the number shown in the slot right before they hit, but computer players will instead hit a random number and does not necessarily match with the number they stop on.

To win, the team must either have more jigsaw pieces after five rounds, or demolish the opposing team's castle entirely. If both team's castles are completely destroyed in the same round, the game ends in a tie.

On the Challenge Road, this is the fifth challenge of Mushroom Beach and the 26th challenge overall. The player team must destroy their rivals' castle within 3 rounds for the normal challenge, or 2 rounds for the Master Challenge. The computer player chosen to pair with the (human) player will always hit a 5 or 6, and may not necessary match with the number shown in the square right before they hit.

Controls

  • jc-right – Stop the Slot

In-game description

  • "Defeat your rivals with superior numbers!"
  • "Aim for the 6!"
  • "Tip: If you keep aiming for 6 and are getting a 1, aim for 5 instead!"
