| Bill Board makes his first appearance at the very start of [[Rolling Green Galaxy]], situated right next to the Star Ball. Whether or not Mario views him before getting on the ball, he takes the time to give Mario (as well as the player) a tutorial on controlling the ball. This includes how to keep the ball stationary, how to turn, and how to jump while on the ball, often asking the player to try this out before moving on. After this, he allows Mario to either move on or speak to him again for a refresher. | |

| Bill Board is the only one of the four sentient boards to make an appearance in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]'', appearing at the start of [[Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy]] with virtually the same purpose. This time, he tells Mario to get onto the ball before he is actually able to do so, also referring to it as his starting position.
