It is a very fertile planet, and its inhabitants welcome life with open arms. The geography of Corneria is varied, with locals living all over the planet, especially under the protective shadow of the numerous mountain ranges, where extremely productive soil always boasts plentiful food. This farming lifestyle is right next door to the bustling hubbub of the sprawling cities that are so renowned throughout the Lylat System. Corneria also has a small ring system, possibly similar to that of Jupiter.

Corneria, like Mushroom World, has commonly been under threat of invasion during its history. In slightly earlier points in time, this world was policed by James McCloud and the original Star Fox team. After his death, the traitor Andross had completed his research on genetics. Using these new capabilities and an army he had scrounged together, Andross led his invasion on Corneria. The duty of saving the planet was bestowed on James' son Fox and a new Star Fox crew. Their rather unconventional manner of fighting eventually saw the defeat of Andross and the return of prosperity to Corneria. The invasion of the Aparoids, however, was a completely different and far more dangerous affair. They struck in vast numbers and had excellent military tactics, quickly obliterating the Cornerian Defense Force and gaining a foothold on the planet. But through the teamwork of Fox and his rival Wolf O'Donell the Cornerians won the war and saved their planet from destruction.

Also like Mushroom World, Corneria has many sentient native species, that greatly resemble anthropomorphic foxes, wolves, falcons, rabbits, frogs and the like.
