Bombs Away (mission)

Template:Missionbox Bombs Away is the third mission of Bowser's Castle in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

Layout

The mission occurs in an arena in Neo Bowser Castle. Mario and co., while using Trio Grab, must defeat Iggy, Wendy, and Bowser in that order, using Mega Bob-ombs that Starlow finds. The three have different tactics: Iggy will throw three Mega Bob-ombs in a vertical line, Wendy will throw three Mega Bob-ombs in a horizontal line, and Bowser will simply throw a bigger Mega Bob-omb which likewise has a larger blast radius. Sometimes, if Starlow cannot find any Mega Bob-ombs for Mario and co., she will use herself as ammo; however, this is merely an aesthetic change. The mission is completed once Mario and co. defeats all three bosses. If they get hit by any boss faced a total of five times, they get an instant "Too Bad!"

In the Hard Mode variant, Mario and co. can only take damage three times, Iggy, Wendy, and Bowser fly in more erratic patterns, Iggy and Wendy throw additional Mega Bob-ombs, and Starlow may take longer in finding Mega Bob-ombs.
