Ameboid is an enemy that can be found in Smithy's Factory in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It doesn't have high HP, but if Mario and party fail to destroy it in one attack, it will split into four parts. The four part parts will have the same stats as the original. Outside of battle, they are merely small blue spots who grow bigger and reveal themselves to be Ameboids when they are approached. Their relation to Smithy is unknown and may just be natives of his dimension. They are strong against jump attacks and weak against fire, so Bowser is a good choice to take it down.

- Ameboids highly resemble blue, jelly-like Goombas and may be the Factory counterpart to them.
- An actual Ameboid, for which Ameboids are named, is a type of protozoa.
