Star Stamps are objects collected in the Story Mode of Mario Party 3. When the Millennium Star fell from space, Mario and his friends argued over who should get the Millennium Star. A Lakitu suggested that they should have a contest to settle this problem. The Millennium Star came to life at that moment and said that whoever obtains all seven Star Stamps shall be his rightful owner. The characters were granted one Star Stamp each and had to battle each other on both the Board Map and the Duel Map. Each Star Stamp is named after a certain quality or personality.

Note that Luigi replaces the character that the player picked, so he doesn't have his own Board or Duel Map, thus having to adapt the chosen character's Star Stamp, Board, and Duel Map. However, Daisy and Waluigi cannot be chosen for story mode, so Luigi does not replace the Beauty and Mischief Star Stamps. If Luigi is chosen, the order of the Star Stamps is followed in the ordered shown above.
