Template:Missionbox Need a Key! is the first Trouble Center mission in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, initiated by Garf. Along with five other missions, it is first available after visiting Petal Meadows for the first time (after which the Trouble Center becomes accessible).

Mission

Mario must visit Garf outside his house in Rogueport's east side. When talked to, Garf asks Mario to find a key to the house, which he dropped when he went to the badge shop. Mario must then head to the front entrance of the badge shop to recover the key. He can use the key to unlock Garf's house or simply return it to Garf; either way, a grateful Garf rewards Mario with twenty coins, and the trouble is solved.

In-game description

  • "They call me Garf. I have lost my key and, thus, cannot get into my house. It should be somewhere in Rogueport. I just need someone to find it! I'll be waiting for you at the house at the very back end of east Rogueport."
