After Chapter 5 is cleared, finding the Wedding Ring is necessary in order to start Chapter 6. When in Keelhaul Key, Francesca loses the Ring and refuse to leave the island until it is found. Mario must go to Keelhaul Key to search for the ring, eventually finding it near the entrance to Pirate's Grotto.
