Ladybugs appear on leaves during gameplay. The player has to rub on them by using the stylus, if the player rubs the ladybug hard enough; the ladybug will fly away for the player continuing to clear the leaves in the pathway. [[Bee]]s also appear on the leaves. If the player rubs on the Bee while the player rushes, the player gets stunned by the bee for a moment. When the player is quickly confronted by a bee, he/she has to wait wait for a moment until the bee flies away so the player can continue to clear the path. Hedge Honcho is a 4-player and a duel mini-game that is found during the events of Mario Party DS.
Introduction
In the scene, the mini-game sets in rows of hedges the players are in. The player is in the hedges surrounded by rows of leaves, the player throws the leaves out one by one until the player reaches to the start of the first hedge. When the player is done, the player goes deeper and sets on the start of the race. After that, the mini-game starts.
Gameplay

In-Game Instructions
Race to the finish by throwing leaves out of your path. Shoo off ladybugs with your stylus, but don't touch the bees at all. They'll soon buzz off.
Tips
If a bee stings you, you'll be stunned for a while, so wait for it to fly off. Shoo off a ladybug by rubbing it with the stylus.
