Cardiators is a duel mini-game. The mini-game appears in Mario Party 8. The Wii Remote is held sideways.
Gameplay
Two characters will enter a ring. In the middle there will be three cards. Each card is face down so only the back is seen. Both characters choose a card and the cards each have a number. The character who got the highest number gets to go first.
Both characters will now face in an RPG battle. Both characters have the same amount of HP(20). There will be a few cards (faced down) on a table and the character that had the highest number when they picked cards, gets to go to the table first and get one of the cards. The card he or she picked will have a character (such as Penguin or Thwomp) and a number, and the character on the card will attack the opponent taking away HP. The number of HP taken will be on the card. The best card that one can get is worth 12 points, while the worst is worth 1 point of damage.
Then after the first character is done attacking, the opponent will then go to the cards, grab one and attack the opponent. This will go on, until one of the characters runs out of HP and looses.
Trivia
- Miis appear in the background.
- This mini-game is also similar to Pokémon.
- The game's name is a pun on Gladiators.
