- In the Japanese version of Super Paper Mario, each Pixl's (pictured) name is written in katakana, but with one random character in hiragana. The only exceptions are Tippi and Tiptron.
- After a Game Over in Super Mario Bros., pressing while holding on the title screen allows the player to continue from the start of the world where they lost their final life.
- While Birdo does not appear in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, a picture of her appears on some Women of Racing Organization banners and her name is mentioned over the intercom in Sunshine Airport.
- 100m, Javelin Throw, and 100m Freestyle are the only Events that appear in every summer installment of the Mario & Sonic series.
