Mametchi is a handheld digital pet called a Tamagotchi, housed in a small and simple egg-shaped computer. Mametchi appears in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 as a Playable Character. The reason for this is because of Namco's recent mersion with Bandai. In this game, Mametchi is a speed type character, sharing this trait with Ms. Pac-Man and Toad.
