Hookbill the Koopa

Hookbill was once an unsuspecting, innocent Koopa standing atop an inconspicuous castle on Yoshi's Island. Nobody would guess that this Koopa would soon attempt to TAKE OVER THE WORLD (in a way)!

Hookbill Koopa was turned into a Gargantua Koopa Troopa by Kamek in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The change somewhat effected his IQ, or at least it appears so. Wearing a dopy grin, Hookbill attempted to squish Yoshi. However, by shooting Hookbill's large head just before he attempted to squish the dinosaur, the Yoshi was able to knock over the colossal tortoise. Yoshi went on to ground pounding the capsized Koopa.

Hookbill the Koopa is the Boss of World 4 in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and one of the villains in Tetris Attack. He makes somewhat of a cameo appearance in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! in the background scenery for Baby Park. However, the giant Koopa in the background has wings (meaning it is a Paratroopa), but otherwise it resembles Hookbill.

A character similar to Hookbill, Kent C. Koopa appears in Paper Mario. The only real difference between Hookbill and Kent C. is that Kent C. is slightly smaller and wears glasses.
