Azalea is a female golfer in the Mario Golf series. She is a human, as are many other golfers in the series.
In Mario Golf, she was one of four characters that you could choose from at the beginning of the game and train however you like. She could then be uploaded to the N64 version for more training.
According to the Mario Golf manual, Azalea is 17 and is an experienced athlete who also runs track. She defeated Tiny and took the title as Champion of the Dunes course, and sided with him as a doubles partner for the Dunes Club Doubles Cup. When Neil or Ella defeats her, she says that she realizes how Tiny must have felt when she had defeated him.
Appearance
Azalea happens to look very much alike the character Princess Daisy. Not only do they have alike hairstyles and hair color, but they also wear the same colors in their outfits. These two have never been shown communicating with each other and have actually never been in the same game, but considering the uncanny appearances and floral related names it is unknown whether or not they are related.
