A Barribad.

The Barribad is in enemy in Super Paper Mario. It is encountered in the Whoa Zone. Its name is derived from "barrier", referring to its method of protection, and "bad". It is also a pun on "Very Bad". It appears similar to, and may even be related to the Yux species from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The Barribad projects an impenetrable barrier around itself when Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, or Luigi approaches, and shoots rings of energy at them. However, by flipping to 3D, the player can go around the barrier, switch to 2D, and defeat it.
