Template:Minigame-infobox Pit or Platter is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9. Pit or Platter is a pun on the term "pitter-patter".
Introduction
The ball drops onto the captain's plate. The screen splits to show all players.
Gameplay
Players try to earn the highest score by tilting their plates to roll the ball into glowing areas. For every consecutive area lit without the ball falling off, the point value is increased, the maximum being five points. If the ball falls off the plate, then the point value is reset to one per lit area. The player with the highest score after 30 seconds wins.
To clear this game in Time Attack mode, the player must earn at least 100 points. The bonus objective is achieved by not making the ball fall off even once.
In-game text
- Rules – "Tilt the platter to roll your ball into the glowing areas. Earn more points by scoring repeatedly without dropping the ball."
- Controls – "Hold the Wii Remote sideways. Tilt the Wii Remote to control the angle of your platter."
