Picture Perfect is a 1-Vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name comes from the term "picture perfect", which was also punned on by two past Mario Party minigames: Mario Party 3's Picture Imperfect and Mario Party 6's Pixel Perfect.
Introduction
Two Shy Guys are operating projectors on each side on the balcony. The four players will all be holding gun-triggered remotes, pointing them at the projections in the sky. The solo player has the left projection sliced in fours. The right projection is cut into nine squares and is for the trio.
Gameplay
A mini projection of a Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, Cloud, Cheep Cheep, Flying Shell, or Egg will appear in the center of the two larger projections. The players must freeze the shift shaping squares in their projection to match the picture. If a player accidentally freezes a wrong square, they can press or to unfreeze it. The first side to match three pictures wins. If no one matches three pictures within five rounds, the game ends in a tie.
Ending
The three projections will disappear, leaving a large projection in the center with the winning side. The winner(s) perform(s) the winning stance and the loser(s) is/are left disappointed. If the five rounds are up, both teams perform their losing animations.
