  • Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 (pictured) was the last installment of the Mario Kart series to use the series' original logo font in the game's title.
  • In Super Mario Bros. 3, in Water Land, on the island where the castle is, the island is shaped like Japan. The castle is located right where the Nintendo of Japan Headquarters in Kyoto would be if the island was in fact really Japan.
  • In some games, such as Mario Strikers Charged, Bowser's skeleton becomes visible when he gets shocked. However, it looks very little like Dry Bowser in these circumstances.
