A Fright Mask is an item in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. When used, it automatically scares enemies away from the battle stage. Enemies defeated in this way only leave one Star Point. A Fright Mask resembles Bowser's face with a dark blue hue and yellow eyes. It is fairly common and can be purchased in a few shops. It also has no effect on bosses, just like its Paper Mario counterpart, the Fright Jar.
