One of the many towers atop Yoshi's Island, the Tall Tower was once home to either Sluggy the Unshaven or Raphael the Raven. It is uncertain.

The Tall Tower is named after its height. The tower, since the days of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island has become inaccessible after the defeat of the tower's owner. As such, the only way to reach the top is by caressing the many turrets that come out of it, and by using the giant springs that stick out of the walls. The tower is very cold, but is the only way to view what lies beyond the fog around Kappa Mountain. In fact, during the events in Yoshi's Story, one Yoshi suggested climbing to the top so as to view the Piranha Grove.

Riddling the tower are many springs and small platforms. The windy tower was once a common area of Leaf Gliding sport. However, most notable is the horrendous infestation of Ravens and Peep-Cheep. In many the areas where giant maces swing and smash into the creaking catawalks, the small planets the Ravens walk across dot the area. Even ComBat haunt the higher floors.

Haunting the very top of the dark, forboding tower is the mighty ghost, Inviso. Inviso is named for his lack of invisibility; despite what he says, he only becomes near invisible. Although he appears to vanish, his surroundings reflect on him. Even from the bottom of the autumn tower, one can hear his moans and "peek-a-boo" calls.

The Tall Tower is the setting of Stage 3-2: Tall Tower in Yoshi's Story. The boss of the Tall Tower is Inviso.
