A Spindel.
A Spindel is the Grindel's closest relative in Super Mario 64. A Spindel is a mummified rolling Thwomp that tries to run over Mario. There is a safe spot where Mario can hide, so he can avoid being squished. A Spindel has a demonic grin and wide eyes.
