Shifting Sand Land is the eighth course appearing in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. It is a desert that centers around a pyramid housing the fearsome boss Eyerok. A cap-stealing vulture named Klepto flies around the perimeter. There are several quick-sand pits, and a large pit of quicksand surrounding the pyramid and the Tox Box maze. The outside area is the first part of the level, the second part is inside the pyramid. To get around in this level,it's best to use the Wing Cap(near the Pokeys and Shy Guys at start of the level) or look for a Koopa Troopa near the 2 pillars at the start of the level and jump on him to get his shell and ride on it. These methods are much easier and quicker than using the Tox Box maze.
