Layout
Wario starts on a platform above lava with a block containing a Garlic Pot. To traverse the lava, Wario must jump across a series of ruined stone-arch platforms, some of which are occupied by Pirate Gooms, while avoiding the Bōtsu leaping from below. After making it past the lava, Wario then has to make his way through multiple narrow passages. Between each one is a lava pit, two of which contain more Bōtsu, and Wario must drop down to the next passage without landing in the lava while collecting the lines of coins along the way. Towards the end, the path is split into two passages; Wario can take the bottom one to collect more coins as well as a Heart from a block. A door leading to the checkpoint lies beyond the passages.
After the checkpoint, Wario must quickly jump along a series of sinking and rising platforms to make his way across another stretch of lava, with multiple coins suspended above each one. About halfway across is a stationary platform with two blocks containing a heart and coin. Eventually, Wario must then walk across multiple platforms and partially collapsing bridges where he encounters more Pirate Gooms and Bōtsu. On the final bridge, Wario has to ride one of the collapsing floor boards down to lower ground and a platform with the door leading to Funfun. To defeat him, Wario must catch the projectiles he fires and throw them back at him three times. After Funfun is defeated, several 10 Gold Coins are released and Wario can proceed to the next world, SS Tea Cup.
