An Inn is a place where Mario and his Partners, for a small fee, can go to sleep so they heal their HP, FP, and, in the Paper Mario series, SP. It only appears in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Super Paper Mario. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the player could stay for free, if Mario had a Inn Coupon in possession. In Super Paper Mario there were two types, one where you could stay and recover your HP, the other where you could buy Items, the first being in Flipside, whereas the latter was in Flopside.
In Paper Mario, they were called Toad Houses, with the main difference being that they were free of charge.
