Purple Toad
Hello. Do you happen to know Purple Toad (talk)? If this is you, please continue using that account if you still have access to it, as having multiple accounts is not allowed. If you've lost access to it (e.g. you've lost your password), please let me or another admin know. Thanks. Mario JC 21:20, 14 April 2018 (EDT)
It is not me. YoshiEgg1990 (talk)
- But you both share the same IP address and computer information. You're not in trouble, we just need to confirm it's you. Mario JC 20:47, 15 April 2018 (EDT)
I just checked and found it's someone who shares the same computer as me. Not sure why he isn't active. YoshiEgg1990 (talk)
Edit Sniping regarding Grey Coins
Hey. I was working on that. It was my proposal, and it was pretty clear I was getting to that. I get that you're trying to be helpful, but it's seen as rude to try and do something that someone's already working on. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:34, 29 April 2018 (EDT)
I'm sorry. I was only trying to help. Yoshi Egg 1990
- It's fine, just be more careful next time. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:35, 29 April 2018 (EDT)
Re:Lochlady Dress
While yes, "Koopa King" refers to Bowser, the link is only covering "Koopa," which refers to the species. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:35, 29 April 2018 (EDT)
Right, but the "Koopa" link is part of the "Koopa king" title. so shouldn't it link to Bowser? Yoshi Egg 1990
- No, if it were structured as Koopa King, then it would go to Bowser, but as Koopa King, it should go to Koopa. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:52, 29 April 2018 (EDT)
I mean, that if it's supposed to link to something, it is supposed to be structured as Koopa King, because it's talking about Bowser, not the koopa species. Yoshi Egg 1990
- But he's the king of the Koopas, just like the Queen of England is the Queen of England. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:47, 30 April 2018 (EDT)
Friendly notice
Since I have revised the voting options for my enemies levelbox proposal, I though I'd let you know in case you wanted to revise your vote. --The Retro Gamer 23:48, 29 April 2018 (EDT)
Re: DKWiki merge
Oh yeah! There's plenty of ways you can help! Basically, you can just take any page and compare the information offered on DKWiki to that offered on SMWiki. (There's a compare link in the sidebar.) Then, when you've moved all the new information from DKWiki to SMWiki (or determined there's no new information), you can mark the page for deletion. --The Retro Gamer 16:16, 30 April 2018 (EDT)
Files
Hello, YoshiEgg1990. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, YoshiEgg1990. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Just some helpful information. 12:37, 1 May 2018 (EDT)
- Filling out the aboutfile and adding the category in a reupload won't actually do anything. You have to fill them out during the initial upload or do it afterwards. 19:53, 2 June 2018 (EDT)
Buddies
Hi! Thanks for helping me! I noticed that you wanted some buddies, so I want to be yours as a thanks for helping me! 𝕄arioManic (talk)MarioManic
Sure! Just create a friend box (saying 'this user is a friend of MaroManic') so i can put in my userpage.
This is the code for my friend box:

Grammar
I know English isn't your first language (as you say on the top of the page here), but there are a few things you should keep in mind. Words at the start of sentences and proper nouns all need to be capitalized, such as Ice Blocks and "The level starts with...". Numbers less than ten should also be written out, such as "two", unless you're counting in a statistic list.
Additionally, to pluralize links, you would place the s after the end brackets, i.e. Brick Blocks
, unless the page is plural already. 18:40, 2 May 2018 (EDT)
TCRF
Absolutely not. You can use TCRF as a reference or a source for files, but straight-up copying information is not allowed. Mario JC 02:54, 9 May 2018 (EDT)

DKWiki
Thanks for helping out with the merge with the DKWiki, but keep in mind you shouldn't just outright copy the information. You have to compare the pages between the Mario Wiki and the Donkey Kong Wiki, as outright replacing the information can cause some errors. Copy the information that the Mario Wiki doesn't have and move it over, or you can rewrite it in your own words. 16:26, 1 June 2018 (EDT)
Spelling
You seem to be making a lot of spelling errors. I don't know how it works on your side, but as a tip, usually when a word is misspelled in the textbox (if your language is set to English), it's underlined in red. You can then right-click it for a list of suggestions for what word you were trying to spell, then select the right one. Mario JC 21:48, 4 June 2018 (EDT)
File redirects
Hi, when tagging file redirects for deletion, you must remove the entire "#redirect" text before actually tagging it for deletion. Thanks! (T|C) 08:06, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
Smash art
What Baby Luigi was doing was uploading all of the art, then putting it on all the pages at once, as it's more efficient to do that. She knows what she's doing. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:32, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
- Sorry if i said somehing that i was not supposed to say... I just got a little mad because i am currently working on trimming Special:UnusedFiles as much as possible, and i didn't wanted new unused images. Yoshi Egg 1990 21:35, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
Game headers
Please remember to italicise game titles in section headers as well. Also, "playble chracter" is spelled "playable character". Mario JC 21:44, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
- Additionally, please don't back-talk to other users when the user was simply giving advice (it is something you should work on; I understand English isn't your native language, but it helps to look around the wiki at other articles to see how certain words are spelled, or look it up online if you're in doubt). Mario JC 21:58, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
Patience
Hi, regarding your impatience here, keep in mind that a user will probably answer you...eventually. Please be patient. Me, I like to wait a week or more for a reply before further action, so maybe that's something you'd consider doing yourself. Only if it's a real emergency should you be urgent (such as a vandal/spammer attack), but you should really exercise patience in all other scenarios. Thanks! (T|C) 16:07, 13 June 2018 (EDT)

Hi, can I ask where you got this from? Mario JC 22:28, 17 June 2018 (EDT)
- Okay. Could you please reupload that as is? Letting you know that converting JPGs to PNGs, as well as applying transparent backgrounds afterwards yourself, is against image policy as it leads to bad transparency (as evident by the leftover pixels around the current image). After that, you can just move

over. (You can also crop it if necessary.) Mario JC 06:11, 18 June 2018 (EDT)
Have at it. SSBU. - Reboot (talk) 20:36, 21 June 2018 (EDT)
Oh, there is? Strange, because i tried putting it on a page and it showed a red link. Guess i made a miskate.Yoshi Egg 1990 20:42, 21 June 2018 (EDT)- No he literally just made it a few minutes ago. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:50, 21 June 2018 (EDT)
Images
You cropping a screenshot of a game captured from a video still means it's a game screenshot. Please don't change it back. (T|C) 15:53, 22 June 2018 (EDT)
RE:Dark Luigi
Please stop acting impatient on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
As I've already reminded you above, you need to stop acting impatient. It takes users days, weeks, and even months just to get something done. Please don't assume that users are ignoring you; either they're trying to come up with an appropriate response, or maybe they respectfully disagree with you. You never know.
As for the "Dark Luigi" name, while I admit I don't know if it's official or not, it's not all that uncommon for the wiki to use conjectural names to refer to subjects that still have roles in the work of fiction they appear in, like Luigi's girlfriend or Fahr Outpost Mayor. Hope that helps! (T|C) 12:16, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
- I know that it's common to use conjectural names, i just wanted to know if it's conjectural or not. Yoshi Egg 1990 12:20, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
- If this wiki is angry every time i say something, than i guess i should stop writing comments on talk pages. Yoshi Egg 1990 12:35, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
- That's not what I meant. What I meant is: keep writing comments on talk pages, just don't write another comment for the sake of showing your impatience. Someone will get around to reading your comments...eventually. (T|C) 13:06, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
- Assuming this is the message in question, it looks like YoshiEgg1990 did wait a couple of days for a response. Though it was only two days, so maybe a week at least should've been waited. On the other hand, "Why are you ignoring this message?" is rather rude. Instead, something like "Hey, it's been a couple of days. Can you respond to this, please? Thanks!" would've gave off a different impression. 13:23, 26 June 2018 (EDT)

Cackletta "vandalism".
Didn't look like vandalism to me. According to the source code, he translated the entire section into what appears to be Portuguese. – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 20:39, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
- Does it really matter what it is? It's either vandalism or spam, and both are bad. And this IP was already blocked anyways. Yoshi Egg 1990 20:40, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
- Saw that in the Recent Changes page and I already know that "vandalism + spam = erase at all costs." Still kind of weird how that guy tried to add a flavour of multilingualism to this wiki. The only way that could happen is the Names in other languages and the German and Italian wikis. – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 20:44, 26 June 2018 (EDT)
Work space
No need to delete your User:YoshiEgg1990/work in progress page. There are times were my sandbox is completely empty. No need to delete it, unless you really want it to be.
Also, I don't know my Mario Parties, apparently :P Thanks for correcting that. 14:37, 16 July 2018 (EDT)
